We
recommend the following different insurance types:
Medical Insurance
This is not optional; things can get expensive very quickly. Touch
wood – but hopefully it won’t be used. You can usually
get medical insurance through your travel agent or your own personal
medical insurance may have a policy for international travel. Make
sure you tell them that you will be riding, that it involves the backcountry
and also make sure it is valid for Alberta and British Colombia, Canada.
You will have to fill out the medical forms in the how to book part
of this website.
Personal Insurance
This type of insurance you will be able to get
from your travel agent, also you can get travel insurance through
your credit card company. This is optional. You could also have
travel insurance covered if you have ‘content’ or ‘home’
insurance. This is a good idea just in case something gets lost
– like your equipment, or something of other personal value.
